The Russians won four medals in the next competition day
– Once competition day of the Paralympic winter games in 2018 in Pyeongchang, the Russian athletes became owners of four awards – two silver and two bronze.
Silver medals were won by skier Ekaterina Rumyantseva (class standing) and Mikhalina Lysova (among athletes with visual impairment), bronze – skier Marta zaynullina (“browsing”) and skier Valery Redkozubov (among athletes with visual impairment).
Now the assets of the Paralympic team eight gold, ten silver and six bronze medals. With these indicators, it ranks second in the medal standings.
At the head of the medal standings is team USA (12, 15, 8), followed by Canada (8, 1, 15).
XII winter Paralympic games held in South Korean Pyeongchang from 9 to 18 March. Athletes will compete for 80 sets: Paralympic athletes competing in biathlon, wheelchair Curling, skiing and Alpine skiing sports, para-snowboard, and sledge hockey.
The competition involved teams from 48 countries, including newcomers from Georgia and North Korea.
Russia was represented by 30 athletes, including six athletes leading whose task is to help Paralympic athletes with visual impairment. Also in the delegation included 38 chaperones and officials. Russian athletes are here under a neutral flag.
