One of the founders of Deep Purple will bring to Russia a new album Rainbow, and hits such as Perfect Strangers and Smoke on the Water

Is an English guitarist, one of the founders of Deep Purple’s Ritchie Blackmore with his band Rainbow will give concerts in St. Petersburg and Moscow.
“After more than twenty years of lull, Ritchie Blackmore with Rainbow recreated the team again burst into the world of rock music with the next creation. 9 Mar British-American band presented a new single, Waiting For A Sign, which included the new concert album Memories in Rock II”, – told “Interfax” the organizers of the concert Agency T. C. I.
It is noted that the future performances of Rainbow is largely a tribute to the past. In particular, the Russian public, among the best things Rainbow, will be presenting the top hits of Deep Purple. It is not only a composition created by gold group – including Highway Star, Perfect Strangers and Smoke on the Water, but those that were recorded together with David Coverdale.
Blackmore was one of the founders of the hard rock group Deep Purple. After leaving the band in 1975, he together with the band Elf led by vocalist Ronnie James dio has created a hardcore-group Rainbow. Since 1997, the musician plays in a folk rock project Blackmore’s Night.
Blackmore is one of the most influential guitarists of the XX century, included in many lists of “best guitarists of all time”.
The concert will take place in Moscow on 8 April, and in St. Petersburg – April 11.
