The Prosecutor General’s office sent to London a request for legal assistance in the “case Skrypalia”, said the official representative of the Supervisory Department Alexander Kurennoy.
“Some time ago we sent to great Britain a request for international legal assistance in “case Skrypalia”, – he said at briefing on Monday in Moscow.
Earlier it was reported that the Investigative Committee of Russia has prepared a request on legal assistance in criminal case upon attempt at murder of the citizen of the Russian Federation Yulia Skripal.
“The investigative Committee of the Russian Federation on March 28, 2018 handed over to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation for further direction to the competent bodies of great Britain inquiry about legal aid on criminal case upon attempt at murder of the citizen of the Russian Federation Yulia Skripal, committed publicly dangerous method, on the territory of the city of Salisbury of the United Kingdom of great Britain and Northern Ireland”, – stated in the message of the RCDS.
“In its request, the Russian side requested their British counterparts to make a series of procedural actions directed on establishment of circumstances of Commission of crime, and to provide copies of materials held by them on the specified fact the criminal investigation, including an inspection of the place of discovery on March 4, 2018 Julia Skripal in an unconscious condition, results of medical examinations and of examinations”, – stated in the message.
As reported, on March 4, former GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia was discovered at a shopping center in the British city of Salisbury in critical condition after interaction with an unknown substance. Prime Minister Theresa may said on 12 March in Parliament that they had been poisoned with nerve substance like “Beginner”, developed in Russia. Moscow rejected these allegations. Currently, Sergei Skripal and Julia are on the mend.
