– Air tickets abroad will rise from 18 April 6-7% in connection with the conversion of the ruble against the dollar and the Euro in the global distribution systems, said on Monday “Interfax” in online travel agencies.

In accordance with the resolution of IATA (International air transport Association) exchange rates in global distribution systems are converted from Tuesday to Wednesday.

“From Wednesday, April 18, the course will increase to 62.5 rubles to the dollar and 77 rubles per Euro. Thus, the tickets for international flights will rise by 6-7%. At an average cost of flights abroad and back for 300 Euro the cost of tickets in rubles will change quite sensitive,” said the online booking service OneTwoTrip.

The company noted that last week, travelers were buying tickets, while the weakening of the national currency did not affect their value. The sale of tickets for international flights at the end of last week rose by a third compared to the first week of April.

At the same time, according to the service of the traveling tutu.ru, sale of tickets abroad last week, on the contrary decreased by 10%. Travel booking in Europe, according to the resource, fell and did a quarter.

The ruble against world currencies began to fall on 9 April against the backdrop of sanctions imposed by the US against major Russian companies. The official dollar rate on Tuesday, April 17, is 62.27 ruble, Euro – ruble 76,84.

Earlier Russian Union of travel industry reported that sales of foreign tours has decreased by 30-40% due to the fall of the ruble.
