– The international football Federation (FIFA) opened an investigation in connection with racist shouts during a match Russia – France at the end of March in St. Petersburg, said the officer of the RFU anti-discrimination Alexei Smertin.

“FIFA has informed the Russian football Union about the beginning of the investigation in connection with the racist shouts from the stands during the friendly match between the national teams of Russia and France, which took place on March 27 in St. Petersburg. The RFU is ready to take active part in it, in particular, to the internal investigation,” – said in a statement Smertin sent to the media.
According to him, the interior Ministry made the request on identification of the fans who made racist remarks. “If these people have proven, most likely they will not be allowed on world Cup matches and game of the championship of Russia. We hope for constructive cooperation of all stakeholders in the proceedings on this matter,” said Smertin.
Earlier in the media appeared information about the fact that racist remarks during a game in St. Petersburg on March 27, was addressed to the players of the national team of France Field Pogba and Ousmane Dembele.
