– The new BRICS development Bank (NRB) may get first international credit rating in may, told reporters Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Storchak.
“It’s hard to say when. If possible, the Bank management asked to solve for the annual General meeting on may 28. But no such”, – he said.
“Maybe one of the three agencies (assign a rating – a comment Interfax). If all three are given, then good. I’m personally on the side of management, which did not boost the ratings,” – said the Deputy Minister.
The Bank is expected to receive ratings of “the big three” international credit rating agencies last summer.
NRB has the highest rating of “AAA” from two of the Chinese rating agencies – Credit Rating Chengxin International and China Lianhe Credit Rating. In July 2016 he placed the first issue of a five-year “green” bond with a volume of 3 billion yuan in the Chinese interbank market securities.
The new development Bank was established by member countries of the BRICS in July 2014. The main goal of his work is the financing of infrastructure projects and projects aimed at sustainable development.
