Russia for the first time since 2004 were not included in the final of “Eurovision”

Singer Yulia Samoilova failed to qualify for the final of the international music contest “Eurovision”. This is the first time since 2004, when the Russian artist was not able to qualify. From the second semi-finals the representatives of Serbia, Moldova, Hungary, Ukraine, Sweden, Australia, Norway, Denmark, Slovenia and Holland.

Russian singer in the finals, which will take place on 12 may in Lisbon, was not in. Also the selection is not passed by the representatives from Romania, Poland, San Marino, Georgia, Poland, Malta, Latvia and Montenegro.

Russian Yulia Samoilova was supposed to perform at the music competition in 2017, but then had difficulties with the Ukrainian authorities, who banned her entry into Kiev, where the competition was held. In preparation for the new show jumping in the Portuguese capital it was replaced by the song “the Flame is Burning” “I Won’t Break”, which, according to Samoilova, allows to better reveal its nature. It is worth noting that the only winner from Russia was Dima Bilan with song “Believe”, he managed to do it in 2008.
