Excessive drinking woman coffee and other products containing caffeine, can lead to obesity in her children’s future. According to experts from the Norwegian Institute of public health, such often occurs if you drink too much coffee during pregnancy. The same thing, according to scientists, concerns, and tea, and also chocolate and some carbonated drinks, because all of these foods also contain high amounts of caffeine.
the specialists collected data on more than 50 thousand Norwegian women. First, scientists wondered how much caffeine each drink a day during pregnancy and suffered their children from excess weight and obesity in the first 8 years of life.
In the amount of alcohol during pregnancy caffeine women were divided into four groups, the first drinking and eating at least 50 milligrams of caffeine per day, the second — from 50 to 200 milligrams, and others — at least 300 milligrams, and the fourth even more. In order to get into the third group, it was enough daily to drink three cups of espresso volume of 30 ml, even if neopatristic other caffeinated products. After that, the scientists checked whether suffered from obesity and excess weight children of these women in three, five and eight years.
According to researchers, the likelihood that the child will be exposed to obesity was lowest among those who almost never consumed caffeine, and the difference between the first and second group was not too large, and between the second and the third especially the third and fourth much more conspicuous.
The study was published in the scientific journal BMJ Open.
Despite the fact that for a long time coffee had a reputation for being not so healthy drink, latest research pointing to its benefit, there are (or, at least, attracted wide attention) more often than those, which referred to the less favourable consequences of its use. In particular, it is alleged that coffee protects against dementia, helps to lose weight, and reduces the chances of developing cirrhosis and even some cardiovascular diseases. At the same time, some experts argue that the abuse of coffee can lead to the development of inflammatory processes in the urogenital system and some other chronic diseases.
