The famous Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, who for most of his career in favour of Juventus, has announced his departure from the Turin side. The goalkeeper is not going to hang up my boots and continue to perform at a professional level.
“Saturday will be my last match for Juventus. I will conclude this adventure with two cups. Am proud to have given it their all and really benefit the club,” said Gianluigi Buffon at a press conference, reports TASS.
While 40-year-old goalkeeper announced his retirement. Where it will continue to be unknown, however, earlier in mass media there was information about a possible relocation of the football player in “Liverpool”.
“Juventus” ahead of schedule won the Italian championship, and in the last round of the season on may 19 will play with Verona.
Recall that Buffon moved to Juventus from Parma in 2001. He played for the Turin team for 17 years, and during that time 9 times won the national championship four times, the Italian Cup and five times – Supercup. Interestingly, three Buffon played in the Champions League final, but the trophy he never surrendered.
In the Italian national team he is the winner of the 2006 FIFA world Cup.
