Huawei came in second place for number of smartphones sold in the world in the second quarter, pushing Apple to third place. Leader remains Samsung Corporation with a share of more than 20%

In the second quarter of 2018, the Chinese company Huawei surpassed the number of smartphones sold the Apple and went on this indicator in second place in the world. This is stated in the review of International Data Corporation (IDC).

Leadership with an index of 71.5 million smartphones sold was retained by the Corporation Samsung, whose share amounted to 20.9%.

Huawei has sold 54.2 million vehicles, capturing 15.8 percent of the market. In the second quarter of 2017, the company sold 38.5 million smartphones, its share was 11%. Sales growth QoQ to 40.9%.

Apple in April—June sold 41.3 million units. Compared to the same period last year, Apple’s share grew from 11.8 to 12.1%, but it was not enough to hold on to second place.

Everything in the world for the second quarter has sold 342 million smartphones. Compared to preliminar 2017 sales of smartphones in the world decreased by 1.8%.

In fifth place is the Chinese manufacturer Oppo, which is implemented in the second quarter to 29.4 million smartphones and captured a share of 8.6% of the market.
