British authorities block the renewal of the Russian diplomatic mission, said the Ambassador in London Alexander Yakovenko. According to him, the British foreign office deliberately delaying the timing of the issuance of visas to Russian diplomats
Russia’s Ambassador to the UK Alexander Yakovenko has accused the authorities of deliberately creating difficulties for Russian diplomats in order to obstruct the renewal of the composition of the diplomatic mission. About this Yakovenko said in an interview with TV channel “Russia 24”.
“Diplomats can’t get a British visa, the average waiting period for a year and a half. This is not normal, this is not in any country in the world. The British government just blocks the update of part of a diplomatic mission”, — he said (quoted by TASS).
According to him, the Russian diplomatic mission in the UK “asphyxiating, because people are sent — some people just naturally completes its mission”. Diplomats “cannot work forever,” added Yakovenko, “and these people couldn’t be replaced”.
