The Bank of Russia from August 31 has revoked the license for banking operations of the Bank K2 (Karachay-Cherkessia). This is stated in the order of the controller.

A licence may be withdrawn in connection with default by the credit institution Federal laws regulating banking activities and also due to the presence of “a real threat to interests of creditors”.

According to the Central Bank by 1 August 2018 the value of the assets of K2, the Bank took a 349-th place in the Russian banking system: organization “was not a socially significant and had no significant impact on aggregate indicators of the banking sector” in Karachay-Cherkessia, said the Bank of Russia. K2, the Bank was not the participant of system of insurance of contributions.

The regulator indicates that K2 was a single-product Bank credit institution. Its business model was focused on the provision of Bank guarantees with the involvement of a narrow circle of intermediaries (agents) on market terms and on terms that do not correspond to customs of business turnover, is spoken in the message of the Central Bank.

“The portfolio of guarantees issued by the Bank as of August 1, amounted to 9.5 billion rubles,” — said the regulator, adding that it is more than five times the size of own means of the organization.

According to the Central Bank, Karachay-Cherkessia, the Bank is incorrectly reflected in accounting costs for a total amount of RUB 400 million of These costs were associated with the payment of intermediary services in attracting principals. Incorrect recognition led to distortion of the financial result of the Bank’s activities.

Also among the owners stated Andrei Prisekin (9,49%), Vladimir Koloshin (9,25%), Vladimir Lednev (8,33%), Tatyana Foxglove (8,17%), Evgeny Miroshnikov (7.6%) and Olga Obukhova (7,16%).

The Bank was established in 1994 in Vladikavkaz, as the Bank “Trust”. In 1998, the organization changed its name and began work as Vladikavkaz commercial Bank (AKB Medicament). In 2014, the Bank again changed its name to K2 Bank. Also, the organization repeatedly changed location of the head office. In 2011, he was re-registered in Makhachkala (Dagestan), in 2013 — in Cherkessk (Karachay-Cherkessia).
