For two days IV East economic forum was visited by more than 6 thousand delegates, the forum passed 100 business events on which it was signed 175 agreements totaling 2.9 trillion RUB. this was told by the Plenipotentiary representative of the President in far Eastern Federal district Yuri Trutnev.
“As of 9 a.m. signed 175 agreements worth 2.9 trillion RUB If you remember the numbers of the previous forums, the first agreements were signed 1.3 trillion, the second — NA1,8 trillion and 2.5 trillion in a third,” Trutnev was quoted by “Interfax”.
Among the most significant projects Trutnev called the creation of the mining enterprises on the basis of Baskoy zone in Chukotka, the agreement for the supply of “Aeroflot” of the party; draft of NOVATEK on the Kamchatka Peninsula for the construction of the hub of transshipment of liquefied gas.
Trutnev said that after the third day of the forum data will change. The main event of the forum, the envoy described the plenary session with participation of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, President of China XI Jinping, President of Mongolia of Khaltmagiin of Battulga, Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe and Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Lee NAK Yon.
“We are not looking for attracting numbers, but it’s an indication that the forum is a success. The most numerous delegation — Chinese, 1 thousand people”, — he added.
On September 12 at a meeting with representatives of foreign business circles of the Eastern economic forum (WEF), Putin said that foreign investors in cooperation with Russia must focus on realities, not on stereotypes. “It is important for foreign investors, any investors who come to the far East, were not in captivity stereotypes, and making decisions that were guided not on yesterday, and for the future”, — concluded the head of state.
According to Putin, the far East opens in present great opportunities for business development. He invited the investors to communicate informally about how to more actively promote various economic initiatives in the region. “Our absolute priority is an ongoing, comprehensive development of the entire far Eastern region,” he said.
At the previous forum in 2017, Putin offered to provide foreign investors who invest in the Russian far East at least $10 million, the acquisition of the Russian citizenship in a simplified manner. “For foreign investors who invest in the far East $10 million and more than $10 million, it is proposed to introduce a simplified procedure of granting Russian citizenship”, — he said then.
